I love tow trucks. I love COEs (cab over engine)... and streamlined anything are cool.. so the streamlined COE tow trucks are pretty much the peak of the genre

This is typical of the Count de Sakhnoffsky design... he was tops in auto design in the 30's http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/09/extraordinary-designer-of-automotive.html for a gallery and info about his work

All found on the HAMB thread http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219018&page=110&highlight=coe

Streamlined COE fuel tanker of unknown make built for Gilmore, 1935, either by

Good looking rolling advertisement, some think it was a White designed by Count de Sakhnovsky, and others think it was designed by Wellington Everett Miller

the above 2 photos are from Steve, and he looked up this tanker, and these photos were taken during the Yosemite Economy runs, 1936-38

The '53 COE crew cab in Gilmore colors has a matching panel truck now

The panel truck on the back is fantastic, great compliment to the hauler.

Al Meyling's '47 cab over hot rod hauler

One cool hauler

It was great to take pictures of this without a horde of people like it attracted at the Grand National Roadster Show : http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/01/cool-hauler-at-gnrs-i-didnt-get-info.html

transporters and haulers in the unusual variety

Just love this above track racer on the flatbed from the 20's

If any car enthusiast were to see this transporter driving by they'd have a heart attack

Looks like a 1938 COE hauling that trailer

What are those on the trailer? Nash or Hudson?

Even garbage trucks are cool if they are old enough... because they all used to have normal truck cabs

the above is a 1958 Ford C-850

This kid must have just gotten the best birthday ever... remember when anything with a motor was your greastest wish?
Wall of death... FAIL!

Something not working so well in the starboard turbo I think

A mix of a big wheel, a recumbant, and a pennyfarthing
