2012 Range Rover: official details, photos and specs

The 2012 Range Rover will soon have new option packs that include additional aesthetic modifications. The Vogue and Autobiography models get a set of 20-inch V Spoke Alloy Wheels as well as additional stylish elements. John Edwards, Land Rover Global Brand Director, said that the Range Rover has never relinquished its reputation for being the “definitive, luxury SUV and one whose off-road performance matches its comfort levels and performance.”

He said that for 2012, the Range Rover will be “the one to beat” with its new equipment levels, improved styling and generous option packs. The most major aesthetic change is that the lights, tail lamp back plates get a gloss black finish while the front grille surround boasts of having the Narvik Black color. The luxury SUV also gets a set of new 20-inch V Spoke Alloy Wheels and body-colored door handles and side vents.

The Vogue Silver Pack and Vogue Black Pack are both offered with the Logic 7, 1200W Harman Kardon High Dynamics Audio System, heated and cooled seats for all passengers, and an 8-inch Dual View infotainment screen. This enables the driver to view the navigation display while the passenger watches videos. The engine range hasn’t been changed and still includes the impressive 4.4 LR-TDV8 diesel with 313hp, which only emits 253g/km of CO2 when fitted with the ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol versions include both the naturally aspirated (with 375hp) and supercharged versions of the 5.0-liter V8 engine (510hp).[via : 4wheelsnews]
