Ferrari at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Ferrari has revealed what’s in store for those who visit its booth at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed. Its new FF GT sports car will make its UK debut, joined by the front-engined V8 California and the mid-rear mounted 458 Italia. Throughout the weekend, the Scuderia Ferrari team will be demonstrating the 2009 F1 car, which will be driven by Marc Gene (TBC). Ferrari’s brand’s racing heritage will also be featured in the Cathedral Paddock.

To go on display is the new Ferrari FF, a four-seat, four-wheel-drive V12 car that’s powered by a new 6,262cc direct injection engine, which delivers 660hp at 8,000 rpm. When mated to the transaxle dual-clutch F1 gearbox, the unit enables the FF to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds. In addition, the 458 Italia that will be shown this year at the Festival of Speed will be a “bi-colore” Rosso Fuoco (dark red) car with a Nero Daytona roof (black).

This car takes inspiration from the racing pedigree of the 458 Italia with the full carbonfiber interior and exterior packages, which include carbon-fibre rear diffuser, F1-inspired front winglets, and side sills. The Ferrari California that will be shown at Goodwood has a “bi-colore” roof and will be painted dark blue (Tour de France) while its roof and A-pillars in Grigio Titanio will be silver to signify the tradition of bi-colore berlinettas of the 1950s and 1960s. This car, which will be placed in the Supercar Paddock, also gets an array of extra factory-fit options from the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme, including Cavallino stitching on the headrests and diamond-stitching.
